Naturalized habitats for the animals of the David Traylor Zoo of Emporia make the small zoo a captivating place for a family day visit. Inhabitants on display feature both large and small animals, including prairie dogs, tamarins, a bull elk, a cougar and buffalo. The zoo is in Soden's Grove Park alongside the Cottonwood River, just south of Emporia.
